I have been friends with her family for many years now, and I have never known anyone that had to face so much, from others and internally, just to come out shiny and new and made of gold on the other side. I am incredibly proud to call her and her family friends of mine, and was deeply honored that she thought of me to document a moment that was fought for so hard, and was so well deserved.
