Into the Woods pt. 1

It seems like every year on lay birthday I get the itch to do a photoshoot. Probably because it’s one of the few days a year when I get to leave my little man at home and take a little me time…and “me time” always turns into “photo time.” This year I met up with my friend Heather and took a walk around her property (one my favorite places) and we had fun exploring the slightly creepy woods that lead to an abandoned and destroyed old cabin. What a perfect place to set off a few smoke bombs. it was my first time really getting to use some on my own and get a feel for how they worked, felt and looked. It might not be a full blown photoshoot but its something that keeps me sharp and helps me get out all of those partial ideas. Don’t underestimate the power of just working through some of your ideas, no matter how small or half-baked you might think they are.
